OLDIES BUT GOODIES

This is one of a series of books (others were Muffins, Tea Breads, Biscuits and Scones,Pancakes, Doughnuts, etc.) that I collected and the selection of recipes and ideas presented in each category were very good. They provided techniques, procedures and flavor mixes that would make anyone proud to add to their repertoire. Tried most of the recipes and not one was a waste of time and ingredients. Served try-out puddings and flans to friends (my personal guinea pigs in recipe experiments) and a lot of times they asked me for the recipe to make for their own families.
Another big plus for me was the fact that though these books were about pocket book sized, they were hardcover. I believe that if a book is a keeper, the hardcover edition has to be bought as durability is essential to the survival of the book. Don't like losing recipes and you can wear out a paperback book quite quickly if you keep using it over and over again.
And you will be doing that if you buy this book.

Not the best cookbook, and in poor condition

I wouldn't make this purchase again, as the recipes aren't that great. Also, the book itself was in poor condition and was advertised as "Very Good."
