Meeting of Minds - Series II
By Helen Kaar
In addition to examining timely social issues and philosophical questions, these scripts, Series I & II, take an irresitible form. Almost everyone has fantasized about whom they would invite for an evening of conversation if they could invite anyone who ever lived. Many of us have thought about it. Steve Allen did it. Picture Emily Dickinson chatting with Attila the Hun. Who wouldn't want to hear what they would say to each other?

Amazon - urge the Allen estate to offer these on DVD!
By JKom
It is SO FRUSTRATING that the VHS tapes of these episodes are unavailable and that no DVD release has ever been promised. Please, Amazon, now that Ms. Meadows has died, is there ANY WAY you can urge the Allen estate to re-release this amazing series on DVD?
It's unbelievable that with all the PBS stations and History Channel cable channels, that one of the greatest and most original ideas on TV has languished unshown for decades! Reading the scripts does not even come close to how amazing it was to watch these episodes.
